Is it cold out tonight?
Take my sweater it looks so right, draped over your shoulder.
I know it's getting colder as the wind picks up by the lake.
It's windy and it's raining, but neither of us are complaining.
But who could complain we've got a bottle of champagne, it's a risk I was glad to take.
And you can scooch in closer I won't bite.
Or you can stay where you are I've never been one to fight.
And I've been dying not to ask you about your day.
I've been dying to find a way, to fill a twin sized mattress.
It's too small for me but it's plenty big for 2.
And I've been drinking with Marla Ann.
I'm doing everything I can, to stop from dialing a number to stop from waiting around for a word to come from you.
It's kind of depressing, to think when you're undressing,
I'll never cross your mind.
It's kind of pathetic, to think you just won't get it.
But there's still a place for you in this twin sized mattress of mine.
(Is it warm here?)
We don't need no blankets.
Do you mind if we take it, just a little bit further.
Why are you moving further and further and further away?
I'm just trying to hold you.
And I already told you, that no matter what you do and no matter what you say I'm always a pillow away.
And you can scooch in closer I won't bite.
Or you can stay where you are I've never been one to fight.
And I've been dying not to ask you about your day.

But there's still a place for you in this twin sized mattress of mine.
I'm not singing in the shower anymore.
I'm not whistling in as I'm rinsing out my hair.
I'm not dancing as I'm stepping through the door.
But it's not like you were around enough to care.
And you can scooch in closer I won't bite.
Or you can stay where you are I've never been one to fight.
And I've been dying not to ask you about your day.

I've met Tyler once at a show and he was the coolest dude ever. He's starting to be one of my favorite artist. His lyrics and the melody and everything goes so well. This is album is on my top 10 favorite acoustic albums of all time. Good job Tyler, keep it going. Eddie Pelaez

On “Meet Me By the River,” Dawn Landes’s self-described “Nashville record,” buoyant country melodies settle deep into lush instrumentation. Bandcamp New & Notable May 7, 2018
HOLY CRAP!!! These guys are genius! The music is great, but lets face it, many bands have great musicianship. What puts this band above the rest is brandan's rock solid vocals and well structured lyrics. The songs are so honest and relatable. "...The sweetest thing that anyone's done for me." is write this EP. Keep up the good work, can't wait for more! scott vickery
